Lacrimal obstruction: In the absence of eye pathology which by itself will induce extra tears, then the major cause of overwatering is obstruction of the tear drainage system into the nose. Your ophthalmologist can investigate this in the office; easily done and recommend treatment.

Conjunctivitis: this could be allergic, irritating, viral or bacterial. Some types can resolve on their own, but some require treatment with eye drops. Have a doctor take a look.
