More replies welcome: I cannot see any way that depression - even major depression - can lead to epilepsy. I can see how epilepsy can lead to depression.

Nonepileptc seizures: Depression will not lead to true epilepsy, which causes seizures due to abnormal electrical discharges in the brain. But there is a phenomenon of nonepileptic seizures that can sometimes look like seizures, but is not due to frank electrical discharges but rather a manifestation of psychiatric diseases (usually a stress response but sometimes due to depression).

No: There are no clear links between epilepsy and depression. However, it was observed that epileptic seizures were able lift depression in those with epilepsy. This resulted in the use of electroconvulsive therapy for depression, an effective treatment for those who have failed medication trials.

Apply: You need to present your case and simply list the medical problems that you suffer from. Also list any medications that you are taking now or you took before. List names of doctors who have recently treated or written prescriptions for you, help is available, good luck and feel better.
