A member asked:

Can you tell me about prescribed lyrica (pregabalin) and norco (hydrocodone)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Both are for pain: Norco is an 'as needed' narcotic for 'breakthrough pain'. Lyrica (pregabalin) is typically taken on a scheduled/regular dosing regimen for neuropathic (nerve) pain or fibromyalgia. Norco contains Acetaminophen which can harm the liver. Lyrica (pregabalin) is largely excreted in the urine unchanged. Both can cause sedation. Norco can cause significant consitipation. Check w/ pharmacist for more info.
