A member asked:

Could diesel exhaust/ smoke cause cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

One does not: Hear much of this in the us, but very much attention grabbing in japan. Overwhelmingly, cigarette smoking grabs attention as chief cause in us, and in japan, but there are more non-smoking cancers in asia. I am not familiar with the specific carcinogens in diesel exhaust.
