A member asked:

Do you know anything about marcus gunn jaw winking phenomenon?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Inherited: This is a usually inherited phenomena in which the movement of the jaw muscles (usually chewing or side to side motion) causes a motion up and down of the eyelids. It is due to a misdirected passage of the face. There is no practical way to stop this - most who have it develop posturing of the head during eating a talking to minimize the appearance. No other body part is involved.
