Chest infection: It is a serious chest infection, usually involving mouth bacteria. It cause a breakdown of tissue in the middle part of the chest (mediastinum). Will usually require surgical removal of tissue and long term antibiotics. Can come from dental abscess, oral cancer, esophageal perforation or severe throat infection.
