Astigmatism: It really depends on how much astigmatism the child has. Some patients with low levels of astigmatism can see perfectly fine and don't require glasses or contact lenses to fix the refractive error. A detailed eye exam with an eye care provider is essential to check your child's vision and monitor for changes over time.
