Close monitoring: First a biopsy if not done yet to confirm diagnosis, treat the symptoms and monitor for any complications. Do you have it orally or just on your skin?

Lichen planus: Many people get lichen planus. It could appear on the skin or areas covered by a mucous membrane. On skin, lichen planus may last a few months and spontaneously clear on its own. On a mucous membrane lichen planus is more resistant and need medications and other treatments help relieve itching and promote healing. Ask your PCP for more information.
