A member asked:

I'm curious as to what effect alcohol has on testosterone levels?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lower levels: Ethanol is considered to be "mildly" antiandrogenic. Intermittent light consumption is probably not an issue, but with aging, daily heavy alcohol consumption can cause increased serum levels of Estradiol in men. Side effects of this increase include gynocomastia, increased body adiposity, decreased lean muscle, decreased libido, and erectile dysfunction.
