Please help! what happens during an appendectomy?

Appendix removed: Appendix can be removed open or with a laparoscope, surgeon accesses the appendix through a larger incision if open or several small incisions if laparoscopic. A camera allows the surgeon to see inside your abdomen to guide the instruments. The appendix is removed. After the appendix is removed, the small incisions are cleaned, closed, and dressed.
