Many factors: You can die from almost anything, but it is very uncommon to die from a pituitary adenoma. How big is this adenoma? Mris are so sensitive, they sometimes pick up small lesions of no significance. Is this adenoma secreting any hormones? Big pituitary tumors can sometimes bleed (apoplexy), which is very bad, but this is rare. You should see your doctor, and maybe an endocrinologist.

Rare from mass...: But can cause lots of hormonal changes which can cause problems. Tumor can cause headache, visual symptoms if sizable enough. Rarely cause bleed in brain. See doc, rx available with curative intent.
