Usually no: All primary teeth have a secondary tooth that should form to replace it. There are no primary teeth that, by nature, are suppose to be retained for a lifetime.

Failure of baby teeth to all fall out by about age 14 usually indicates an anomaly in the exchange process. Possibly missing adult teeth, out of position adult teeth, or other causes. Please have your child evaluated by a dento-facial growth & development expert, an Orthodontist.
