Could diti scanning show blood clots in leg veins?

Not reliably: DITI imaging is primarily used for breast imaging. It would not be diagnostic for evaluation of lower extremity blood clots.

Ultrasound preferred: No, not really. The DITI scan helps look at injuries in the skin. Injured tissue has a different thermoregulatory response, either due to injured superficial nerves or blood vessels. Blood clots in leg veins are normally deep and within larger veins, ultrasound is needed to find these.
