Can you tell me about transverse myelitis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Transverse myelitis: Transverse myelitis is an infection in the spinal cord that can lead to loss of sensation and motor function below the level of the infection. In many cases the infection resolves and the patient recovers most of the function, in severe cases there can be permanent loss of function below the level of the infection.
