Cortical Blindness: The term refers to a lesion in the occipital cortex of the brain which causes blindness, and implies no damage to the visual apparatus. Post- traumatic means that it is due to a trauma, most likely to the head, which caused the problem. Transient means that is not permanent, and it lasts only for a short period of time.
