Sometimes.: After braindeath criterea someone will be on life support until they are removed in the or and once cardiac function stops the organs are harvested. The maintain on life support is not prolonged at all. If cardiac death and not in the or then only certain organs are able to be harvested. Mostly depends on type of organ being harvested.
