Meds and cold packs: Allergies generally respond well to anti-histamines and cold compresses over the lids. It is important to determine the cause of allergy if possible so as to avoid contact with the culprit.

Allergy eyes: Rinse the eyes to wash out the allergen. Consider an over the counter allergy tablet. Prescription allergy eye drops will help. Ice compresses. Try to remove the allergen (vacuum, dust, wash sheets and pillows). Consult an eye MD and an allergist. Severe cases may require steroids and an epi pen.
