I am on effexor (venlafaxine). i have ptsd, psychotic features and depression. is there better suited meds or combos for this?

What works for you: Is best. The main thing is that what you are on is helping. If you still have any psychotic symptoms then a low-dose of Abilify (aripiprazole) would be warranted. If you are having nightmares then Minipress is indicated. There is a lot of controversy surrounding the use of benzodiazepines in post traumatic stress disorder. If you still have a lot of generalized anxiety disorder symptoms then Buspar could help.You are awfully young to have peripheral vascular disease. Please make sure to keep your blood pressure under control especially since occasionally venlafaxine can drive up blood pressure.
