A member asked:

Can normalax cause whitish color stools? my 3 yr old takes it regularly and some of her stools are pale/white in color. (she hasn't had a stomach bug

PEG: Normalax is polyethylene glycol (peg) a sugar glycol.....I have not heard of it causing whitish stools but the best way to find out is to stop it and see if they return to normal. In the meantime try p fruits (peach pear plum pineapple papaya pomegranate pumpkin and peas) make one poop. Also smooth move tea can help. If the white st continue see your doctor as whitish stools mean not enough bile.
