Dr. Heidi Fowler

According to: Manufacturer visine is for " adults and children 6 years of age and older".
Dr. Kent Wellish
Ophthalmology 34 years experience
See Eye Doc 1st: It's unusual for a 4 yr old to need visine. Better to see an eye doctor 1st to identify what is going in and to treat the root of the problem. Visine works short term but does not address underlying causes that could get worse and potentially cause serious eye problems. Hope this helps!

Delayed speech: A 4 year old with autism will have had delayed speech and language. They will also play alone more and not want to interact with others as much as a non-autistic 4 year old will. There are always grey areas so if you think your 4 year old is not developing normally or talking as the should, see your pediatrician as soon as possible. Early intervention is very helpful at that age for your child.
