See a psychiatrist.: Your husband is depressed. There are different conditions that can cause depression such as bipolar disorder , where there are mood swings, reactive depressions , where there are identifiable cause of the depression and endogenous depression, where one gets depressed without seeming rhyme or reason. I am oversimplifying . Please encourage him to see a psychiatrist to start with.
