Varies: Resistance and weight bearing exercises can increase bone strength and density. This is especially true for impact exercises. For example: swimming can be a great aerobic exercise but does not have the same benefit on bone strength as walking or jogging.

Increased strength: Without getting too technical the bone , when stressed, will strenthen with exercise and will increase in density.
