No, not usually: Hematomas on the tibia or shin are fairly common because of the subcutaneous position of the bone. Most hematomas will slowly dissolve and go away w/ time. Aspirating these is generally not a good idea as the fluid is thick and the risk of introducing infection is real. See your ors if concerned. Gl!
