Can an ovarian cyst cause my wifes bloodwork to come back with a high white blood cell count?

Yes it can: A cyst in this location may produce peritoneal irritation or be the focus of a localized inflammation.Associated it can produce fever, discomfort or severe pain if ruptured.Mass effect also can be present if the cyst is large.It needs a visit to a gynecologist.
