Could high white blood cell count and ovarian cysts have anything in common?

Probably not: White blood cells are an indication of infection. Ovarian cysts are not usually caused by infection. An ovarian torsion when the ovary twists on itself causing extreme unrelenting pain can cause an elevated white count.
