Not pregnant, but...: If a home urine pregnancy test is done correctly and gives a valid negative result, that means the person is not pregnant, or not pregnant enough to cause a positive test. For example, if a woman conceived a week ago, her test would likely be negative, because it is too soon to have a positive test.
