A member asked:

Are firm dress shoes or tennis shoes ok for achilles tendinitis?

Either: Both shoes may help as long as the back of the shoe does not press at the insertion of the tendon on the back of the heel. You may want to use a lift in the heel to take pressure off the achilles tendon.

Small heel: A shoe with a small heel usually helps best.
