Resolve the injury: Achilles tendinitis can weaken the achilles tendon. The inflammation needs to be treated. When chronic, this can weaken the tendon and make it more susceptible to rupture. Treatment can include the use of an ambulatory boot/crutches and compression wraps. When the condition is nearly resolved, custom orthoses for your shoes should be considered.

Clogs: Clogs with a lift or any supportive show with an open back (not slippers) with a small lift to relieve the stretch from walking. However, this lifestyle modification won't definitive treat the problem. See a physician for further treatment and advanced modalities. Best of luck!
