She requires: She requires dental treatment. Merely taking antibiotics will not remove the cause of the infection and therefore will not solve the problem. She needs to see a dentist. There is nothing she can do on her own.

Be a good friend...: Advise her to go see a dentist. If she can't stand the pain, the problem is severe.

Infection: Antibiotics will help control spread of infection, but will not cure an abscessed tooth. Please help your friend by making sure she calls her dentist immediately for definitive treatment.

See a dentist asap: Don't treat the symptoms. Get to the source of the "tooth infection." see a dentist asap.

Needs treatment: Generally, patients who were put on antibiotics for dental pain/infection were prescribed the meds as a stopgap pending treatment. And/or evaluation for treatment. It is seldom (if ever) definitive treatment except as a post-op treatment. . If she wasn't told to return for evaluation and treatment or wasn't seen by a dentist (or was given rx over the phone) she must get to a dentist for treatment.
