Is there a difference between an infected lymph node and a swollen lymph node?

Bacteria: Swollen just means enlarged. Lymph nodes can be enlarged when your immune system is ramped up. This can be from a bee sting, a mosquito bite, or an injury. When a lymph node is swollen because bacteria are inside, then it is infected.
