Pretty normal.: It's pretty common to have a cycle one or two days off. Most would not consider two days actually "late ". If you wanted better menstrual cycle control though you could consider birth control pills. They are excellent at regulating the cycle.

Normal variation: Although a standard cycle is 28 days long, this can vary by several days and is still be perfectly normal. Some variation in flow is also normal. Illness and stress can throw off your cycles or it can simply be random. While there are a few women who can set their watches by their cycles, this is really not the norm.
