Drug interaction: Taking Concerta with zoloft (sertraline) may increase your zoloft (sertraline) levels and cause a serotinin effect with hallucinations and other nervous system effects. Ritalin would be the drug of choice.

Depends on your day: Both are ritalin (methylphenidate). Ir lasts about 3-4hrs. Concerta is Ritalin (methylphenidate) that lasts 10-12 hrs. All the forms of ritalin (methylphenidate)[there are several] increase the anxiety level for some people. Your physician can slowly introduce the Ritalin (methylphenidate) to your program. I prefer the long acting ritalin (methylphenidate)s to provide a smoother level and avoid missing doses of short acting ritalun.

Both the same: Ritalin (methylphenidate) and concerta are both formulations of Methylphenidate. They differ only by the delivery system. Ritalin (methylphenidate) is a tablet. Concerta is a closed capsule with the OROS system
