See a doc: This is likely a skin infection, such as staph/ impetigo. It's persistence is concerning as it may represent a resistant bacteria (ie mrsa). If so, likely topical antibiotics will clear it up. Any persistent skin lesion in an exposed portion of skin should always be evaluated to exclude skin cancer as well. It should be seen by your primary care physician.
