A member asked:

My doctor of 25 years is great, but i wonder when he will retire. what is best age for internist?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

62 and up: Most internists, who have a very satisfying but strenuous life, will retire in the early sixties. If you have a terrific relationship with your internist, stick with him/her until that happens and then get their advice on who to go to next.
