If my tooth abcess spreads where could it go and what are the symptoms?

Depends: The anatomy of where the infection is will dictated the pace of reaching the brain cavity in particular. While the heart is at some level of risk for a spreading infection systemically, most deaths from infected teeth were attributable to brain infections. Swelling is the typical symptom with and without pain.

Varies: An infection can spread locally through soft tissue or between sheets of muscle. If an infection gets into your bloodstream, in can spread to other parts of your body. Pain, swelling, fever, chills are some of the symptoms you might experience. Take care of the infection before it gets to that point.
