A member asked:

U/s w fna: follicular lesion of undetermined significance. a signifiicant proportion of microfollicules admixed w colloid & scattered normal follicles?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Follow up: This is most likely a colloid adenoma or adenomatous nodule, probably benign. Without odd nuclei or overlap, the chances of cancer are less, and your diagnosis has already ruled out a highly aggressive cancer. You may get a repeat fna, ultrasound, molecular testing. If watching it is your physician's recommendation, be sure to report any further enlargement.
