A member asked:

Had surgery to remove endoendometriosis in dec and have a lot of pregnant symptom but tests. say negative could the surgery effect the test?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: A urine or blood pregnancy test is accurate if done correctly, regardless of whether or not a woman just had surgery. There are other causes of symptoms similar to symptoms a woman gets during early pregnancy, so her doctor can help figure out what those other causes might be.
