A member asked:

Do some people just have a "weak immune system" and catch more colds, flus, etc...?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Opposite is true: This may seem backwards, but it is our own immune system that determines how sick we get with a cold or flu. Interesting study was done on people who "never get sick" and people who "always get sick". Both were infected with cold viruses and the people who "never got sick" didn't get sick even with virus in them. Some immune systems are over-enthusiastic and make you sicker than need be...
