Rash: A sandpaper feeling pink rash localized to the pubic area is often seen in strep infections.It can also spread to the rest of the body, but treatment usually slows this progression.It usually appears the first 24 hrs of the strep infection if it occurs at all.Hives would suggest an allergic rxn. Benedryl is ok for itching as needed.Discuss with your pcp.
