Poor sleep pattern: Your child may be teething and the pain is waking him up. When going to bed let him suck on a cold rag or other cold substance. When he wakes in the middle of the night, go to him, see if he is ok but do not pick him up. Over a few nights his sleep pattern should improve. As a last resort you can give him tylenol (acetaminophen) or Ibuprofen at bed time.

SLEEP problem: At 8 months baby is playful and would rather play than sleep. Give him a lot of attention at daytime so he will get tired and fall sleep at night.
