Genozyme testing!: Genomind the company provides wonderful psych tests for people. Test your serotonin receptors, whether or not you will do well on ssri's, or gain weight on atypical antipsychotics, one mthfr gene (catches about 50%), and also very important pathways through the liver that many psych meds are affected. Cyp 450 2c19 ; 2d6. Can tell if you go too fast (meds don't work), or too slow (incr side effect.

Include Thryoid Test: Your physician should do routine blood tests which would include a CBC and diff, metabolic panel including tests to establish normal liver and kidney function. Thyroid function tests should be included . Depending on your history your physician may want to include some other tests.
