Stasis: Common cause may be stasis dermatitis brought on by weak veins in the legs. Fluid builds up in legs and cause inflammation and redness. This may respond to cortisone creams and compression hose. Other causes may include a skin infection(cellulitis)- best to be checked by your doctor.
