I was wondering what are the advantages and disadvantages of home birth?

Comfort vs risk: Having a child at home can be a pleasant experience if you have knowledgeable support like a midwife. One of the disadvantages is that you (or your significant other) have to do all the clean-up afterwards. It is also more risky for you and the baby if complications develop. I would make sure your midwife and doctor have hospital privileges and a plan in place if you need hospital care.
