Help docs! i'm trying to find out what causes a vein to protrude on the side of one's forehead?

Yes: Visible veins on the side of the forehead are normal branches of the superficial temporal vein. They are noticeable on people with pale skin and also those without very much subcutaneous fat in that region. They are normal and require no therapy.
