Removal: If they are really big. Mostly these are small and do not require any treatment. Please see a vascular specialist.

Several options: One option: nothing they dont need to be removed. 2nd option, would be a phlebectomy or surgical removal. This is especially good for larger veins. 3rd option, sclerotherapy which is injection of a medicine into the vein to make it go away. This option is can be done only on vein on the side not on the middle of the forehead. I would recommend seeing a vein expert experience with facial veins.

Multiple options: I don't think that there is a single best way but there are mutiple options including sclerotherapy, ipl, laser, veinwave, veingogh and micro needle radio frequency. The size of the veins and the training and experience of the treating physician usually influence what treatment is recommended. My usual treatment is sclerotherapy or laser for very small veins. You should see a vein specialist.

Genetics probably: Some people are genetically disposed to have visible veins on the side of their forehead. These veins are blue in color and don't pulsate. See a doctor if you have bulging vessels on the side of your head that are not veins.
