Stem Cells: There is much going on regarding the use of stem cells in patients with renal failure. Areas that appear to be the most researched right now are improving kidney function with stem cells and the use of stem cells in patients who have had a kidney transplant. Hoever, all of this work is still in the "infant" stage with much work to be done before stem cells become a routine treatment.
