Is it safe for me to use topical skin anaesthesia at home?

Yes: Topical anesthetics can be used safely at home but do not spread it over a large area as the more drug and the larger surface area will increase the amount of drug absorbed into the body. Although it is unlikely, you could theoretically absorb enough drug to get toxicity if you used a very large amount over a large surface area over an extended period of time. Also make sure you are not allergic.

Topical Anesthesia: Use the medication as directed if over the counter or prescription and you should be ok. Any medication can be toxic or cause side effecs if used incorrectly.
