It is treatable: Lymphedema can be treated but usually not completely cured. Long term treatment measures needed. An expert physical therapist can be very helpful. Please check with your doctor for appropriate referrals. You may check the web page of american cancer society, mayo clinic and other reputable organizations. Lymphedema: There are well trained and medically supervised lymphedema therapists who can help. They wrap the area(s) and use machines to pump the fluid. Please ask your doctor about this and only do it under medical supervision. Peace and good health.

I suggest you verify that your therapist has one of the following credentials: LANA (lymphatic association of North America), Vodder / Klose / Foldi certifications are all good.
