Dermatochalasis: Is an aging condition associated with stretching of the eyelid muscles and skin. This leads to excess skin and swelling of the eyelid tissue, causing bags under the eyes and the skin tissue over your eyes to hang over the edge of the lids. This often runs in families but can also be caused by prior injury, surgery, or infection of the eyes.
