Would prostatitis come up in a routine blood panel?

No: Testing for prostatitis does not show up on blood tests. It is a clinical diagnosis and other adjunctive tests such as urinalysis, blood tests, ultrasound, etc. Only help to establish the diagnosis.

Yes: Usually your psa goes up. On a urine test, you may see signs of bacteria or inflammation.
